March 26, 2017.mp3 Listen as Fr. Gerry takes us through the deep meaning in the story in today's Gospel (John 9:1-41) of Jesus healing the man who had been blind from birth. This is another great teaching on the progression of coming to an understanding of Jesus and growing in a personal relationship with Him. Do I see Him as the God who is out to get me, or the God who is coming to save me? Where is my blindness?

The Easter Triduum starts tomorrow. We have three whole days to ponder and read through the story of Jesus' passion and death. What better way to reflect on these readings than to place yourself right in the middle of the action? Ask God to be with you in your reflection. Close your eyes and try to imagine the sights, sounds, and smells of the scene. Read through the passage slowly, and stop when something stands out to you. Stay with it for a while. Ask God to help you come to know Jesus better as you spend time with his word. (excerpts from: the WORD among us) ... See MoreSee Less
